Gregoire and Jobke Assigned from Iowa, Aces Sign Molle and Gorham

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces, the 2014 Kelly Cup champions and proud affiliate of the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League, announced today that left wing Jason Gregoire (Gray-gwire) and defenseman Colton Jobke (JAHB-kee) have been assigned to the Aces from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League and the Aces have signed defensemen Dustin Molle and Brad Gorham each to a professional tryout offer (PTO).

Gregoire, 25, brings 104 career games of AHL experience with the St.John's Ice Caps, along with 16 goals and 32 points while playing for former Aces coach and current Ice Caps head coach Keith McCambridge. Last season, Gregoire skated in Sweden for Sodertalje and Rogle of HockeyAllsvenskan with 22 points (13g-9a) in 40 combined games.

The 5-foot-11, 190 pound forward previously suited up in 120 career games in college for the national power University of North Dakota (NCAA) with 109 points (57g-52a) and a +35 rating, also helping guide the Fighting Sioux to back-to-back WCHA championships.

As a teammate of former Aces forward Evan Trupp, Gregoire was second on UND with 25 goals as a 2010-11 junior and ranked third in scoring with a career-high 43 points in 35 games. His 15 career game-winning goals ranked fourth in program history at the time of his exit.

Gregoire, a native of Winnipeg, was originally selected by the New York Islanders in the third round (76th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He was signed today by Iowa to a standard player contract.

Jobke, 22, earned six points and 74 penalty minutes in 47 games last season with the Orlando Solar Bears and skated in 11 AHL games with Iowa. The 6-foot, 170-pound blueliner has six points in 50 career ECHL games and an additional 13 games of AHL experience with Iowa and Houston. In 222 career junior games with Regina and Kelowna of the Western Hockey League, Jobke collected 65 points and 317 penalty minutes while serving as captain of the Pats in the 2012-13 season.

Molle, 28, is an Anchorage native who returns for his third season with the Aces after earning a career high 14 points (3g-11a) and adding 116 penalty minutes in 50 games last season. The 6-foot-2, 212 pound blueliner has 187 career games, 342 penalty minutes and a +30 rating with the Aces, Fort Wayne Komets and Idaho Steelheads in his pro career.

He posted 99 penalty minutes in 111 career games with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and University of Alaska-Anchorage (NCAA) in his college career.

Gorham, 28, returns after earning a goal and an assist in 12 games with the Aces last season and has four points in 24 career ECHL games, split over two seasons in an Aces sweater. The Anchorage native posted 23 points and 227 penalty minutes in 95 career college games with UAA.

The Aces have also released the following players from training camp:

Opening Night is Friday, Oct. 17 at Sullivan Arena against the Ontario Reign at 7:15 p.m. (GCI/KFQD), when the Aces will unveil their third Kelly Cup championship banner.
