ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Tuesday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Elmira's Tassone fined, suspended

Elmira's Matt Tassone has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #13, Elmira at Reading, on Oct. 11.

Tassone was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for spearing under Rule #62.5 at 12:48 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Tassone will miss Elmira's games against Kalamazoo on Oct. 17 and Oct. 18.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Gwinnett's Llewellyn fined, suspended

Gwinnett's Tristin Llewellyn has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Preseason Game #20, Greenville at Gwinnett, on Oct. 12.

Llewellyn was assessed a match penalty for slew-footing under Rule #52.2 at 19:26 of the third period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Llewellyn will miss Gwinnett's game at Evansville on Oct. 18.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
