The Condors successfully killed off four power plays in the second period and all nine against in the game.

In the third period, Sexton and the Condors took control, out-shooting Las Vegas 11-6 in the final 20 minutes. Sexton gave the Condors a 3-2 lead with 4:47 remaining in the third period when he corralled a puck at the side of the net and lofted it over a sprawled Ouzas. D Stu Bickel and D Mark Mitera, playing in his first Condors game, earned assists on the play. Just 2:06 later, Sexton took a perfect cross-ice feed from LW Shawn Weller and buried it past Ouzas.
