Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The trumpet sounded and the Condors faithful once again answered the call to aid less fortunate children during the holiday season. The Condors Toy Drive, sponsored by ABC23 and R&D Leather Furniture, resulted in the donation of over 200 toys to benefit under-privileged children.

The Condors have now collected nearly 1,000 toys in the four-year Toy Drive history at The Nest.
The Toy Drive was held on Wednesday, Dec. 12 outside Rabobank Arena prior to the Condors game against the Fresno Falcons. Fans were invited to donate a new, unwrapped toy, and in exchange receive $1 terrace admission to Wednesday's game. The toys will be given out through Stay Focused Ministries to children who otherwise would not be receiving Christmas gifts this holiday season. Baby Cal will be on-hand during the Stay Focused Ministries annual Christmas giveaway on Dec. 15 at the corner of Cottonwood and Padre Road at 1 p.m., where the collected toys will be handed out.
"First I want to thank the Bakersfield Condors and all their fans for the support and also the sponsors - ABC23 and R&D Leather Furniture," said Stay Focused Department Director Manuel Carrizalez. "Thank you for assisting us in reaching one child at a time by helping us get toys for less- fortunate children."
