
Anderson and Pospisil assigned to Gwinnett

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that left wing Tomas Pospisil and center Matt Anderson have been assigned to the team from the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
Pospisil makes his second appearance in Gwinnett after being assigned to the team from November 22 to 24. In his first stint with the Gladiators, the 20-year old native of the Czech Republic played in three games registering a +1 plus/minus rating.
While with the Wolves this season, Pospisil has played in 11 games putting up two points on 2 assists and has a -1 rating with 2 penalty minutes.
Anderson makes his first visit of the season to Gwinnett. The West Islip, NY native has played in 10 games for the Wolves this season notching 1 assist and compiling a +1 rating and 6 penalty minutes.
Anderson joined the Wolves for the 2006-07 playoffs after completing his senior season at the UMASS-Amherst. During his four-year career at U-MASS, Anderson collected 34 goals and 57 assists for 91 points and led the team to its first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 2007.
The Gladiators continue their fifth anniversary season on Thursday, December 13th as they travel to Charlotte to take on the Checkers at 7:05 p.m. Catch all the play-by-play action in Friday's game on WDUN, News Talk 550.
Celebrating its 20th Anniversary as the Premier 'AA' Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that has 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The 25 teams includes the Mississippi (Biloxi) Sea Wolves, who return after missing two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the expansion Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals. The ECHL will play 900 games beginning Oct. 18 and concluding Apr. 5.
