Bakersfield Condors News Release

Las Vegas, Nevada - Sebastien Centomo turned aside 49 shots to pick up his first shutout of the season as the Las Vegas Wranglers handed the Bakersfield Condors a 6-0 loss in front of 3,744 fans at the Orleans Arena on Thursday night.

The Wranglers took the early edge, getting a pair of goals from Chris Stanley to make it 2-0 after one period. Condors netminder Randy Petruk returned to the lineup for the first time since November 18th - when he was injured against the Wranglers - and stopped seven shots in the first stanza.

Despite being outshot heavily during the second frame, the Wranglers extended the lead with a pair. Dan Tudin's 7th of the season and Jason McBain's fifth, on the power play, made it 4-0 after two periods. The Condors had the shot advantage through 40 minutes 28-22. The Condors amassed a whopping 21-4 shot advantage in the third stanza, but surrendered two more Wranglers goals. The loss left the Condors winless in five games and represented their first shutout of the season.

The Condors meet up again with Vegas on Friday night from the Orleans Arena, in a 7:00 p.m. tilt. They return home on Saturday, December 18th against Idaho when fans will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest pillow fight, sponsored by WB-TV 12 and The Big 96.5. Fans are asked to bring a pillow to the game, participate in the fight, and donate their pillows to the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter afterward. The current record stands at 2,773 participants.

Individual tickets can be purchased at the Centennial Garden box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday, by calling Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at ticketmaster.com or stopping by any Ticketmaster location. Season and group tickets may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825) or by visiting the Condors office next to Centennial Garden.
