Condon Named MeiGray Group ECHL Alumnus of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Former ECHL and current Montreal Canadiens' goaltender Mike Condon is The MeiGray Group ECHL Alumnus of the Month for October.

The leading distributor of game- worn hockey jerseys and "Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the ECHL," MeiGray has sold more than 7,000 jerseys since it became "The Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the ECHL" in 2002-03.

The 25-year-old made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 11, and in four appearances during the month went 4-0-0 while allowing just six goals over that span. He leads the NHL?with a 1.51 goals-against average and a .944 save percentage. Condon allowed two goals or less in each of his four appearances in October.

A native of Needham, Mass., Condon made his professional debut with the Ontario Reign late in the 2012-13 season after completing his collegiate career at Princeton University. He went 3-1-0 in four appearances with the Reign before joining the Wheeling Nailers for the 2013-14 season when he posted a record of 23-12-4 with six shutouts, a 2.18 goals-against average and a save percentage of .931.

Condon has appeared in 56 career American Hockey League games with Houston and Hamilton going 27-20-6 with four shutouts, a 2.43 goals-against average and a save percentage of .920.

There have been 576 players who have played in the NHL after playing in the ECHL including seven who have made their debut in 2015-16. The ECHL has had 384 players reach the NHL since 2002-03 when it changed its focus to become the primary developmental league for the NHL and the AHL. The ECHL had 97 players reach the NHL in its first 10 seasons and 215 in the first 15 years. There have been 320 ECHL players who have played their first game in the last 11 seasons for an average of more than 29 per year.
