Allen Americans News Release

Kevin Pyle of the Tulsa Oilers Fends off Casey Pierro-Zabotel of the Allen Americans
(Allen Americans)
Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Allen Americans and Tulsa Oilers meet for the third time this season tonight in Tulsa. The Americans and Oilers split the first two meetings this season, with both teams winning on their home ice.
Penalty Kill - The Allen Americans own the league's best penalty kill at 92.6 %. Allen has surrendered only two power play goals this season, in 27 opportunities for the opposition.
Five Streak - Americans forward Greger Hanson has a five-game point streak, which is the longest on the team this season. Hanson has three goals and four assists for seven points to lead the team.
The Return of Riley - Americans starting goaltender Riley Gill is expected to make his regular season debut in the Americans lineup tonight against the Oilers. Gill led Allen to their first Kelly Cup Championship last season, and his second cup in three seasons. Gill has been on the IR since the start of the season.
Road Killers - The Americans have won three straight, away from Allen Event Center with a 3-1-0 record overall. Allen will play seven of their first ten games away from home.
Oil Change - The Tulsa Oilers have a change behind the bench this season, with Jason Christie taking over for the departed Bruce Ramsey. Christie is no stranger to Allen fans, as it was his Ontario Reign club that battled the Americans in a seven-game series last season in the Western Conference Finals.
Oilers Leaders - The Tulsa Oilers are led by forward Brandon Wong, who has five points in six games so far this season (3 goals and 2 assists). Adam Pleskach, who has been an Americans killer over the years, has yet to score a goal on the season with just three assists in six games.
