GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that they will be making four appearances at Greenville's new outdoor skating rink, UBS Ice on Main, in the month of December.
"We are extremely pleased to partner with UBS Ice on Main and to be a part of a great new tradition of outdoor ice skating in Greenville. It's a beautiful rink and everyone with the Road Warriors from the players to the coaches to the staff can't wait to spend time with our fans at UBS Ice on Main," said Road Warriors president and general manager Neil Smith.
UBS Ice on Main is located on Village Green in front of the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Greenville, SC right off of Main Street. The rink opened for public skating on Friday, November 25 and will be open through Sunday, January 8, 2012. Public skating is open from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and skaters can bring their own skates or rent a pair once they arrive. For more information on UBS Ice on Main click here.
The Greenville Road Warriors will take part in the UBS Ice on Main festivities on four separate occasions in the month of December. On top of skating with fans, signing autographs, and taking pictures the Road Warriors players will also host Hockey 101 sessions to help give Upstate hockey fans an in-depth look at the game they love. Fans should also be on the lookout for Rowdy The Road Hog, the Road Warriors' mascot, at the appearances.
Here is the schedule for the Road Warriors' appearances at UBS Ice on Main:
Monday, December 5 - 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 10 - 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday, December 14 - 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Monday, December 26 - 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors return home to face the Gwinnett Gladiators on Thursday, December 8 at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center. Come out for the Road Warriors' Throwback Thursday which features $2 draft beers, fountain drinks, pretzels and hot dogs, and $6 tickets for college students with a valid ID. Throwback Thursdays are sponsored by WSSL 100.5, The Greenville News, and New Rock 93.3. Don't forget about great group packages that get you discounts off of the box office price and preferred seating based on availability.
