
Columbus Recalls Scoville and Jackman

Syracuse, NY (February 27, 2004) â The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Darrel Scoville and right wing Tim Jackman. The team also announced that they have recalled defenseman Nate Kiser from Dayton (ECHL) and have signed center Scott Cameron and left wing Judd Medak to professional try-out contracts.
Scoville, 28, has appeared in 56 games with Syracuse this season, recording 7 goals, 25 assists and 61 penalty minutes. In 332 career AHL games with Saint John and Syracuse, Scoville has tallied 43 goals, 114 assists and 437 penalty minutes. Scoville was a member of the Calder Cup winning Saint John Flames in 2000-01. Scoville has appeared in eight NHL games with Calgary and Columbus, recording six penalty minutes. A native of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Scoville was signed as a free agent by Columbus on July 10, 2001.
Jackman, 22, has appeared in 51 games with Syracuse this season, recording 19 goals, 13 assists and 37 penalty minutes. In 128 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Jackman has tallied 28 goals, 20 assists and 85 penalty minutes. Jackman made his NHL debut on December 20 against Minnesota and has played in seven games with Columbus this season, recording two penalty minutes. A native of Minot, North Dakota, Jackman was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets with their second choice, 38th overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft.
Kiser, 21, appeared in two games with the Crunch earlier this season, recording two penalty minutes. In 48 games with Dayton this season, Kiser has tallied 4 goals, 7 assists and 109 penalty minutes. A native of Southgate, Michigan, Kiser signed an American Hockey League contract with the Crunch prior to the 2003-04 season.
Cameron, 22, has appeared in 12 games with the Crunch this season, recording four goals, two assists and six penalty minutes. He appeared in two games to begin the season with the Albany River Rats without recording a point and has split time with Cincinnati (ECHL) (17gp, 4g, 5a) and Dayton (8gp, 4g, 2a). Originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils with their sixth choice, 185th overall, in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Cameron has appeared in 151 career AHL games with Albany and Syracuse, recording 17 goals, 27 assists and 35 penalty minutes.
Medak, 24, has split time with the Manchester Monarchs (3gp), the Hershey Bears (5gp, 8 PIM's) and Reading (ECHL) (40gp, 19g, 23a, 58 PIM's) this season. A native of Edmonton Alberta, Medak has appeared in 17 career AHL games with Chicago, Manchester and Hershey, recording 2 goals, 2 assists and 14 penalty minutes.
Syracuse hosts Wilkes-Barre/Scranton tonight for a 7:30 p.m. face-off. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Crunch glass, courtesy of Coca-Cola and Dasani.
