
Ducks, Phantoms fit to be tied

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Mike Peluso scored the tying goal in the second period to help the Philadelphia Phantoms skate to a 2-2 tie with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Friday at Cincinnati Gardens.
Peluso recorded his 12th goal of the season 7:33 into the second period with help from John Slaney and Boyd Kane.
Ian MacNeil opened the scoring with a power-play goal 3:19 into the opening period for Philadelphia, which extended its unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1-0).
The Ducks bounced back to take a 2-1 lead on goals by Keith Aucoin and Joel Stepp 22 seconds apart early in the first period.
Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 27 shots for Cincinnati, which is winless over its last three games (0-2-1-0).
Antero Niittymaki turned aside all six shots he faced in overtime and 19 overall for the Phantoms.
The Ducks begin a two-game road trip Saturday at Chicago.
