COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew (6-3-6, 24 points) continues its two-match road stretch as it travels to face New York City FC (7-5-2, 23 points) at Yankee Stadium tomorrow, Friday, July 30 [7:30 p.m. ET / Bally Sports Ohio, Bally Sports App (Stream) / 97.1 FM The Fan & 971TheFan.com (English), ColumbusCrew.com (Spanish)]. Coverage of the match on Bally Sports Ohio is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The Crew enters Friday's contest at New York City FC having won its three previous regular-season matches against New York dating back to a 3-1 victory on October 18, 2020. The match Friday evening marks the third regular-season contest between the two Eastern Conference sides in 2021, with the Black & Gold having won the two previous matches, each with a 2-1 final score. Notably, Crew midfielder Lucas Zelarayan enters the game tied for the Club lead in goals scored against New York City FC, having scored four times in three appearances (three game-winning goals).
