Tonight at Golden Park: The Columbus Catfish (32-44 overall, 4-3 2nd half, T-2nd SALSouthern) look to win their third straight game as they take on the Greensboro Grasshoppers (38- 38 Overall, 3-4 2nd Half, T-5th SAL-Northern), the Class A Affiliate of the Florida Marlins. Tonight's game is the second of a four-game series at home at Golden Park in Columbus for the Catfish. Last night, the Catfish came back from a 5-0 deficit to win 6-5, improving over the .500 mark for the first time in 2005. The Fish are 2-3 against the Grasshoppers this season and this will be the only series of the season between the two teams at Golden Park. Tonight at 7 PM, RHP Zach Hammes takes the hill for Columbus, coming off his best start of the season last Friday against Rome, where he gave up just two runs over 6.1 innings against the Rome Braves. Greensboro sends LHP Taylor Tankersley to the hill in opposition.

Yesterday: Catfish C Gabriel Gutierrez ripped a single through a drawn-in Greensboro Grasshopper infield in the bottom of the ninth inning to complete a comeback 6-5 victory for the Columbus Catfish at Golden Park. The Catfish victory gives them a 4-3 second half record, the first time the Fish have been above the .500 mark in either half of the South Atlantic League's 2005 season. Columbus trailed 3-0 after one inning and 5-0 as late as the sixth inning. 2B Travis Denker hit his team leading 12th HR in the win, and 3B Blake DeWitt delivered a twoout, two-run single in the eighth inning to tie the game. CF Jamie Hoffmann ripped two doubles for the Fish and scored two runs in the victory. The Catfish have a 32-44 overall record while the Greensboro Grasshoppers fall to 38-38, 4-4 with the loss.

Vs. Greensboro: The Catfish are 2-3 vs. the Grasshoppers this season after last night's win and finishing 1-3 during June 7-10 series at First Horizon Ballpark in Greensboro. The Catfish were outscored 22-12 in the first three games of the series in Greensboro, but did pick up a Game 4 victory when RHP Blake Johnson, RHP Brian Akin, and RHP Kyle Wilson combined to shutout the Grasshoppers over the final 8.2 innings to win 3-1. Recently promoted INF Cole Bruce went 6-12 with 3 HR in the series for the Fish while Grasshopper INF Brian Cleveland had an 8-16 performance in the four games against Columbus.
