Duncan, Cates Power Delmarva Over West Virginia!

For the second straight night, West Virginia jumped out to a 2-0 lead heading in the bottom of the first highlighted by a Alcides Escobar leadoff solo homerun and an RBI groundout scoring Hernan Irabarren. The Shorebirds came right back with a run in the bottom half of the first on a RBI single off the bat of Jason Fransz scoring Jake Duncan. The Power scored two more in the second on a two RBI double from William Lewis. West Virginia lead 4-1 going into the bottom of the fifth until Gary Cates blasted a three run homerun to left field tying it at four. Later in the inning Jake Duncan scored the go ahead run. The Shorebirds lead 5-4 going into the ninth and added one more in the seventh on a passed ball scoring Duncan. Delmarva Scored two more in the eighth on the two RBI triple by Duncan. The Power added one in the ninth on an error. Side note: Jake Duncan ended the game 3-4, (single, double, and a triple), scored three runs and drove in two
