(Lexington, KY)--Four Captains pitchers combined on a two-hit shutout Friday as the Captains defeated the Lexington Legends 4-0 at Applebee's Park.

The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Captains (3-5, 43-35). It also snapped a six-game skid at Applebee's Park.

Lefty Dan Cevette (2-1) tossed six shutout innings, giving up two hits to earn his first win since April 8th. Cevette, who missed two months of the first half with a broken thumb, walked two and struck out five.

T.J. Burton, Kyle Collins, and Kieran Mattison followed Cevette with one hitless inning apiece to complete the whitewash.

The Captains scored twice in the first inning against all-star righty Jimmy Barthmaier (6-3). Barthmaier walked four batters in the first and allowed two runs on a sacrifice fly by Chad Longworth and an RBI groundout by Fernando Pacheco. Brian Finegan added an RBI single in the fourth inning to make it 3-0, and Marshall Szabo capped the scoring with an RBI single in the eighth of Paul Estrada.

Two of Barthmaier's three losses this season have come against the Captains.

Szabo was 3-3, with a double and RBI for the Captains.

The Captains and Legends will play game three of the series on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. (WELW AM 1330, WKKY 104.7).
