COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-signed center Derek MacKenzie to a two-year, two-way NHL-American Hockey League contract, General Manager Scott Howson announced today. As is club policy, terms were not disclosed.

He added 17-30-47 and 30 penalty minutes in 47 games with the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus' AHL affiliate. He led the club and tied for first in the AHL in shorthanded goals (5) and ranked second on the Crunch in assists and was third in points.
"Derek is a true professional, who brings experience, leadership and depth to our organization," Howson said.
