Columbus Blue Jackets Make Roster Moves

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets made their fifth round of roster moves, Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced today. The current roster consists of 29 players (list includes four players on injured reserve). Forward Tomas Kubalik and defenseman John Moore were assigned to the Springfield Falcons, Columbus's American Hockey League affiliate, while forward Martin St. Pierre and defenseman Nick Holden were placed on waivers for the purposes of being assigned to Springfield. In addition, forward Alexandre Giroux has been placed on waivers.

Right wing Jared Boll was placed on injured reserve and will be out at least 4-6 weeks with a broken thumb. Also on the Blue Jackets' injured reserve list are: forward Kristian Huselius, defenseman Theo Ruth and goaltender Mark Dekanich.
