
Colts Deal Overage Forward Kris Sparre

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts today announced they have traded overage forward Kris Sparre to the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors in exchange for Mississauga's 4th Round Pick in 2008 and Sudbury's 6th Round Pick in 2008 (currently owned by Mississauga).
Sparre, 20, joined the Colts mid-way through the 2005-06 season after they acquired him as a free agent. He appeared in 23 games as an 18-year old OHL rookie in 2005-06 and recorded four points (1g-3a). He has skated in three games this season and recorded two assists. For his career, Sparre has recorded 30 goals to go along with 27 assists in 94 games with Barrie.
With Tyson Aitcheson, Vladimir Nikiforov and Michael Lombardi, the Colts now have the maximum of three overagers able to dress in an OHL lineup.
Acquiring these two draft spots give the Colts 17 picks for the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.
