
Rangers Knock Off Otters 8-2

Kitchener, ON: The Rangers used three first period goals to take the Otters 8-2 in front of a crowd of 5,688 tonight at The Aud.
Justin Hodgman opened up the game scoring his 4th goal of the season at 1:29 of the first. The Rangers answered back with a pair of powerplay goals from Matt Halischuk and Nick Spaling. Nazem Kadri scored the eventual game winner at 16:26, his first goal of the season. Halischuk added to the scoring while on a powerplay with one second to spare in the first period.
Adam Dzielski notched his first OHL career goal while on the powerplay. Justin Azevedo scored at 19:47 of the second period with a powerplay goal.
Phil Varone scored early in the third for his 2nd goal of the season. Hodgman potted his second goal of the game to close the scoring at 7:05 on the powerplay.
The Rangers next home game is Monday, October 8th against the Guelph Storm. Game time is scheduled for
1:00 p.m.
