
Colorado Eagles Foundation/Hunter's Dream Donate $200,000 to Inspiration Playground

WINDSOR, CO - The Colorado Eagles Foundation and Hunter's Dream for a Cure donated a total of $200,000 to Inspiration Playground before the Eagles game against the Wichita Thunder Friday night at the Budweiser Events Center. The playground in Fort Collins has broken ground and with the receipt of the checks, the process of surfacing and ordering specialized equipment will begin.
Martin Lind, Advisory Board Chairman of the Colorado Eagles, and Robb Nelson, Founder of Hunter's Dream for a Cure, presented two checks before the game. The Colorado Eagles Foundation donated $150,000 to the cause, and Hunter's Dream for a Cure added $50,000 to the pledge. To date, the Eagles Foundation has fulfilled their pledge of $250,000 to the Inspiration Playground project. The $250,000 has been matched by the City of Fort Collins making the dream of Inspiration Playground a reality.
Hunter's Dream for a Cure is a Colorado based non-profit organization for children with Sturge-Weber syndrome, other neurological diseases and programs for special needs children. Robb Nelson, his wife, Wendy and son, Brady, presented the $50,000 check in their son, Hunter's, name. For more information on Hunter's Dream for a Cure visit, www.huntersdream.org.
Accepting the donations on behalf of Inspiration Playground was Vice President Bob Powell, County Commissioner and Committee Member Kathay Rennels, and Inspiration Playground Treasurer Craig Secher.
