San Antonio Reassigns Goaltender Joe Cannata to Colorado Eagles

SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 13, 2017) - The Colorado Avalanche today announced that defenseman Duncan Siemens has been reassigned to the San Antonio Rampage. Additionally, the Rampage have reassigned goaltender Joe Cannata to the Colorado Eagles (ECHL).

Siemens appeared in one game during his call-up with the Avalanche. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound defenseman has registered three points (1g/2a) in 20 games with the Rampage this season. Siemens was originally drafted by the Avalanche in the first round of the 2011 NHL Draft (11th overall) and has appeared in five career contests with the club.

Cannata began the season with the Eagles, earning seven wins in his eight games played while registering a 2.10 goals-against average and .928 save percentage. Originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Draft (173rd overall), Cannata split the 2016-17 season between the Rampage, Hershey Bears (AHL), and South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL).

The Silver and Black continue their home stand when they take on the Cleveland Monsters on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
