Winston-Salem Dash News Release
WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Just prior to last night's game, Dash RHP Justin Collop (right arm) was activated off the disabled list and sent to low-A Kannapolis. There is no other corresponding roster move at this time.
Collop felt discomfort in his throwing arm after making a start against the Potomac Nationals on June 29 and was placed on the disabled list shortly thereafter. The D.L. stint was Collop's second of the season; he was also out of action with a similar arm injury from April 25 through May 12. The Wayne, Michigan native pitched in 15 games with six starts for Winston-Salem this season, going 2-3 with a 4.17 ERA.
The Dash roster remains at 24 players, one below the Carolina League limit.
Tonight the Dash begin a three-game series against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at BB&T Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. and fans can purchase tickets by calling the Dash at (336) 714-2287 or by visiting www.wsdash.com.
