Cole Jordan Will Miss the Rest of the Season
December 7, 2022 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
Cole Jordan will be undergoing surgery and miss the remainder of the Moose Jaw Warriors' 2022-23 season.
The 20-year-old defenceman suffered the injury on Nov. 15 against Prince Albert and found out it required season-ending surgery this week.
"Cole has represented the Warriors with class on and off the ice, and we would like to thank Cole for his time in Moose Jaw," Warriors general manager Jason Ripplinger said.
The injury ends Jordan's Western Hockey League career. He played in 114 regular season games over four seasons with the Warriors, posting eight goals, 27 assists and 35 points.
Originally listed by the Warriors, Jordan developed into a key defenceman for the team and was eventually drafted in the fifth round, 141st overall, in the 2021 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames.
"Cole has been with the organization for over four years and will be missed," Ripplinger added. "We wish Cole all the best in his recovery as he aims to continue his hockey career."
Jordan's injury leaves the Warriors with two overage players, forward Ryder Korczak and goalie Connor Ungar.
The team returns to the ice this Friday when they host the Calgary Hitmen for Teddy Bear & Toque Toss Night at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
