Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON) - On Monday, January 25 from 6-8pm, Peterborough Petes players will join teams of servers at both Peterborough Boston Pizza locations in support of Coach4Food and the Kawartha Food Share.

Several players will be partnered with a server and will assist them with orders and greeting customers. From 6-8pm, Boston Pizza will tally all receipts and will donate 10% to the Kawartha Food Share as part of the Coach4Food program.

Fans are encouraged to take time on Monday night at the Boston Pizza locations (821 Rye St. and 1164 Chemong Rd.) to meet and chat with their favourite players and have autographs signed.

Coach4Food coordinates the Project Shutout Hunger initiative, which is a partnership spearheaded by the Ontario Hockey League involving the Ontario Association of Food Banks, Gift of Giving Back, and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The goal is to eradicate hunger in communities across the OHL.

"We are proud to partner with Coach4Food and Project Shutout Hunger once again this season," commented Petes Community Events Coordinator, Matt D'Agostini. "The Petes are working to contribute to the Project Shutout Hunger goal of collecting over 200,000 pounds of food for local families this season."

On the ice, the Petes travel to London (Friday) and Sarnia (Saturday) to close out the weekend. They are home again on Sunday, January 31 at 7:05pm for Hockey Day in the OHL presented by Cogeco TV. Tickets are still available here for the Hockey Day game.
