Brantford Bulldogs News Release
HAMILTON, Ontario - The Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club announced today they will be running a jersey contest beginning January 22, 2016. The Bulldogs are asking for community input to help inspire the new jerseys for the 2016-2017 season.
"The time has come to revitalize the Hamilton Bulldogs jersey and colours and this contest is an opportunity for our fans to help us decide what their team's new look should be," declared Bulldogs Owner Michael Andlauer. "I am thrilled and excited about this next chapter in Hamilton Bulldogs hockey and look forward to hearing the input our fans provide on the team's new jersey."
"We want the Hamilton community to put their mark on the Bulldogs and the jersey contest is our way of providing them with an opportunity to do so," stated Bulldogs President Steve Staios. "It is important to us that our club's jersey reflects Hamilton and is inspired by our fan base."
Fans are asked to submit their jersey designs to the Bulldogs by February 13, 2016. Submissions will be accepted at all Bulldogs home games (behind section 114), the Bulldogs office, through Bulldogs social media accounts and via email (jersey@hamiltonbulldogs.com).
Three finalists will be selected based on the submitted designs. The finalists will each receive four tickets to the February 15, 2016 Family Day game where they will be recognized. Beginning February 15, 2016 fans can vote for their favourite jersey from the three chosen designs. Votes will be collected until March 1, 2016 through ballot boxes located at the Bulldogs office, home games and select partner locations.
The winning design will be used as inspiration for the Hamilton Bulldogs new jersey and will be unveiled at the Bulldogs final regular season home game. The creative winner will receive a 2016-2017 personalized jersey, hat, t-shirt, sweatshirt and pair of 2016-2017 season tickets.
