
Clips Cruise Past Raptors to Open New Year

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - The Agua Caliente Clippers (9-9) open the new year on a high note, cruising past the Raptors 905 (7-11), 110-93, on New Years Day to extend their win streak to three games.
Down 61-60 with 6:52 left in the 3rd quarter, the Clippers closed the quarter on an 18-7 run to take a double-digit lead into the final frame. A dominant defensive display in the fourth quarter, in which Agua Caliente caused eight Raptors turnovers, pushed their advantage to as much as 19 as they cruised to the finish line.
Mfinodu Kabegele paced the Clippers with a game-high 26 points and pulled down 10 boards to complete the double-double. Terance Mann added 25 points and five assists.
The Raptors were led by Justin Anderson's double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds.
The Clippers continue east on Friday to take on the Maine Red Claws in their second ever matchup. The ballgame tips off at 4 p.m. PST inside the Portland Expo Building in Portland, Maine.
