Clippers Sweep Back-To-Back Behind Wallace's 31

March 2, 2022 - NBA G League (G League)
Ontario Clippers News Release

ONTARIO, CA- The Agua Caliente Clippers (14-6) sweep the back-to-back against the Birmingham Squadron (10-10), taking the second leg, 109-101, on Tuesday night.

Six Clippers scored in double-figures, led by Keaton Wallace's 31 points on an efficient 12-of-18 from the field and 4-of-seven from distance. He added eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals on the night.

George King added 17 points, six rebounds, and two blocks for Agua Caliente.

Birmingham's Trey Murphy III paced the Squadron starters with 26 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.

Darius Adams added a 19-point, six-assist performance in the losing effort.

Unlike last night, when Agua Caliente led from wire to wire, the tail-end of the back-to-back featured 10 lead changes and neither team led by more than nine points. The Squadron cut their deficit to within two points midway-through the fourth, but they were unable to get over the hump as the Clippers edged out the victory.

The Clippers are back in action on Sunday as they play host to the cross-town rival South Bay Lakers on Pride Night. Tip-off is at 3 p.m. PT inside the Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA.
