
Gold Secure 131-127 Win against Herd

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Nik Stauskas was on fire tonight, leading the Gold (12-9) to a 131-127 win over the Wisconsin Herd (7-13). He was a stone-cold shooter, earning a career-high 57 points, shooting 20-29 from the field, and 11-15 from beyond the arc. Stauskas' 57 points topped the Gold's franchise record of most points in a game by a single player, recently set by Isaiah Thomas (46 points) on February 26, 2022. He now holds two additional Gold's franchise records: one for the most points earned in a quarter and another for most points scored within a half. He earned 24 points in the first, not missing a single shot, shooting 9-9 from the field and 6-6 from beyond the three-point, in addition to tallying 38 points in the first half. To cap off Stauskas' incredible night, he earned a spot as one of two players to have ever scored 24 + points in a quarter on 100% shooting and is tied for the sixth highest scoring game in G League history.
Petr Cornelie contributed his fourth-straight double-double with 17 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Giorgi Bezhanishvili added 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists to the Gold's stat line. Guard Marcus Burk followed up with 12 points and 3 rebounds. Trevon Duval put up 11 points to go along with 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds. Manny Camper added a second double-double for Grand Rapids with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists. Quade Green earned another 10 points, 5 assists ,and 3 rebounds for the home team.
Tiwian Kendley was a bright spot for the Herd, racking up 34 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Rayjon Tucker contributed 21 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds. Sandro Mamukelashvili followed up with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals ,and 2 assists. Other Herd players in double figures were Frank Mason II (14 pts, 7 assists, 4 rebs), Jordan Sibert (14 pts, 5 rebs, 2 assists) and Javin DeLaurier (10 pts, 8 rebs).
