
Cliff Lee Expected to Make Rehab Start with Bisons on Saturday vs. Pawtucket

Cleveland Indians LHP Cliff Lee is expected to make a rehabilitation start for the Buffalo Bisons on Saturday, April 21 against the Pawtucket Red Sox (6:05 p.m.). Lee is expected to throw 70 pitches before scheduled starter LHP Rafael Perez takes over.
Lee, 28, has yet to pitch in the Major Leagues this season after straining an abdominal muscle in Spring Training. The southpaw went 14-11 with a 4.40ERA in 33 starts with the Tribe in 2006. Over the last three seasons, he is 46-24 with a 4.50 in 98 starts with Cleveland.
Lee pitched for the Bisons in 2002 and 2003. He went 3-2 with a 3.77ERA in eight games in his first season with the Herd. In 2003, he went 6-1 with a 3.27ERA in 11 starts before earning his first promotion to the Major Leagues.
