Buffalo Bisons News Release

TODAY'S GAME: Tonight the Buffalo Bisons take on the Toledo Mud Hens in the finale of a four-game series from Fifth Third Field (7:00 p.m.). Buffalo will be looking to earn a series split with the Hens holding a two-games to one lead after yesterday's 3-1 victory. On the mound for the Herd will be RHP Adam Miller. Miller is coming off a complete-game win in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday in Columbus. Toledo will counter with RHP Zach Miller, who is 0-2 so far this year.

END OF THE ROAD: Tonight's game is also the finale of the Bisons first road trip of the 2007 season. So far, Buffalo has posted a 5-2 record on the trip, thanks in large part to a four-game sweep of the Clippers in Columbus. Excelling on the road early has been outfielders Jason Cooper (.333, 6-18, 3 doubles, 5RBI), Ben Francisco (.395, 10-26, 3 doubles, home run, 4RBI) and Shin-Soo Choo (.357, 5-14, 4RBI).

EARLY OFFENSE: The Bisons scored their lone run yesterday in the first inning. It's the fourth consecutive game the Herd has scored in the first (13 total runs). On the year, 31 of Buffalo's 56 runs have been scored in either the first or second inning.

HIT STREAK: Outfielder Shin-Soo Choo comes into today's game with a seven-game hit streak. Since April 11, Choo has hit .474 (9-19) with five RBI, four walks and two runs scored. Choo has also reached base in all nine games he's played in this season, posting a Bisons team-high .531 on-base percentage (3rd in International League).

JUST ONE BEHIND: Outfielder Ben Francisco is right behind teammate Shin-Soo Choo. Francisco has a six-game hit streak during which he has averaged .476 (10-21) with three doubles, a home run, four RBI and three walks.

RUNS APLENTY: Outfielder Ben Francisco is currently tied for the International League lead with 11 runs scored. Francisco has scored six runs in his last six games. In 2006, Francisco finished tied for fourth in the IL with 80 runs scored.

CHART TOPPERS: As a team, the Bisons currently ranked second in the International League in pitching (2.52) and fourth in hitting (.269).
