LAKEWOOD,NJ - Greensboro topped the BlueClaws 2-0 on Thursday night at FirstEnergy Park in a game stopped by fog in the middle of the seventh inning.

Lakewood's six-game winning streak was snapped as they fall to 31-22 on the year while Greensboro improves to 24-27. The BlueClaws took two of three in the series from the Grasshoppers.

Greensboro took the lead on a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning by Zach Sullivan, his second home run of the season.

Lakewood starter Kyle Young (1-2) gave up just those two runs over a career-long seven innings of work.

Ryan Lille (4-1) threw a complete game for Greensboro, allowing no runs on just three hits.

Nick Maton, Daniel Brito, and Dalton Guthrie had the three hits for Lakewood.

This is the fourth game in the last five years impacted by a fog delay at FirstEnergy Park: May 25, 2017 vs Delmarva (suspended in 6th inning), May 8, 2015 vs Augusta (called 17th inning, tied), May 9, 2014 vs Kannapolis (cancelled in 4th inning).

The BlueClaws open a three-game series with Hickory on Friday night at 7:05 pm. RHP Spencer Howard (3-3) gets the start for the BlueClaws.
