Lexington Legends News Release
RUPP ARENA (Lexington, KY) - Red, White and Boom will be changing locations for 2018 and will be held at Rupp Arena in downtown Lexington, instead of Whitaker Bank Ballpark.
"15 artists, 3 days, 1 stage with perfect "weather" conditions, reserved seats and affordable ticket prices; more for less! Our ticket buyers asked for it and we checked all the boxes, we are very excited for Red, White and Boom 2018 at Rupp Arena!" said Michael Jordan, Senior Vice President - Programming, iHeartMedia
The number of artists will increase to 15, three more than in 2017. Fans will have perfect conditions the entire weekend, with the festival now being held indoors. There will be reserved seating, in addition to a general admission pit area with a variety of more affordable ticket prices.
With the event being held at Rupp Arena, there will be many options for hotels, restaurants and nightlife all within walking distance. Additional free fan experiences will be announced at a later date.
"We are very excited about bringing this three-day event to downtown Lexington. We have had attendees from across the nation come to Red, White and Boom over the past seven years when the event has been at Whitaker Bank Ballpark and we anticipate the same enthusiasm at Rupp Arena. We expect over 50,000 attendees over the three days which will provide a significant economic impact to downtown businesses," said Lexington Legends President/CEO Andy Shea.
All tickets will go on sale Friday, June 8 at 10 a.m. on www.ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets. Three-day ticket prices will be $99, $149, $199 and VIP for $299, plus service fees. Additional premium seating will also be offered.
Over the course of the three days, there will be 15 artists with five headliners. Two headliners will perform on Friday and Saturday, and one on Sunday. All artists will be announced on Monday, June 4 at 7:20 a.m. with Officer Don and DeAnn on 98.1 The Bull, WBUL and www.RedWhiteAndBoom.com.
