OCTOBER 10, CINCINNATI 0 AT CHICAGO 3: Norm Maracle stopped 19 shots to record his 17th career shutout and Derek MacKenzie collected a pair of goals to lead Chicago to a 3-0 victory over Cincinnati at Allstate Arena. Gregg Naumenko made 39 saves for Cincinnati in the losing effort.
NOVEMBER 11, CHICAGO 3 at CINCINNATI 5: Sean Avery scored twice in the second period to lead the Mighty Ducks to a 5-3 victory over the Wolves at the Cincinnati Gardens. Avery tallied a power-play goal 3:53 into the middle period, tying the game at 3-3, and put Cincinnati ahead with another man-advantage tally seven minutes later. Andy McDonald and Jason Williams each supplied a pair of assists and Ilja Bryzgalov made 26 saves to record the victory. Bryan Adams and J.P. Vigier each notched a goal and two assists for Chicago. Pasi Nurminen made 35 saves.
DECEMBER 14, CINCINNATI 2 AT CHICAGO 4: Dan Snyder had a goal and an assist and Norm Maracle stopped 31-of-33 shots to lead the Wolves to a 4-2 victory over the Mighty Ducks at Allstate Arena. Rob Brown, J.P. Vigier and Brad Tapper added goals for the Wolves, and Derek MacKenzie chipped in with a pair of assists. Steve Brule and Maxim Balmochnykh scored for Cincinnati. Jason Elliott surrendered four goals on 30 shots in the losing effort.
JANUARY 19, CHICAGO 5 AT CINCINNATI 1: Dan Snyder registered his first career hat trick as Chicago downed Cincinnati, 5-1, at the Cincinnati Gardens. Bob Nardella contributed three assists and Norm Maracle made 27 saves, including 15 in the opening stanza, for Chicago. Sean Avery broke a scoreless tie 45 seconds into the second period for the Mighty Ducks. Ilja Bryzgalov allowed five goals on 34 shots in taking the loss.
JANUARY 30, CHICAGO 3 AT CINCINNATI 2 (OT): Steve Maltais had a goal and two assists, including the game-winner in overtime, to lift the Wolves over the Mighty Ducks, 3-2, at the Cincinnati Gardens. Maltais set up Kamil Piros 1:22 into the contest, helped Piros score again with 7:07 gone in the second period and beat goaltender Jason Elliott 61 seconds into overtime to give the Wolves the win. Frederic Cassivi stopped 37 shots for Chicago, including 16 in the second period. Jason Williams and Yuri Butsayev each scored for Cincinnati. Elliott was unable to stop the third shot he faced in overtime and finished with 23 saves in defeat.
MARCH 3, CINCINNATI 4 AT CHICAGO 3 (OT): Timo Parssinen scored with 1:27 left in overtime for his third consecutive game-winning goal to lift the Mighty Ducks to a 4-3 win over the Wolves at Allstate Arena. Adam Edinger registered his first career AHL multiple-goal game with a pair of tallies and Steve Brule added a goal and an assist for Cincinnati. Gregg Naumenko stopped 38 shots, including four in overtime, to register the victory. Norm Maracle made 32 saves for Chicago in the loss.
