
Columbus Recalls Brad Moran

Syracuse, NY (April 8, 2002) - They Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets recalled center Brad Moran. The Crunch also announced that they reassigned right wing Cory Morgan to Dayton (ECHL), released center Matt Dzieduszycki from his amateur try-out contract and left wings Ryan Vince and Ben Keup from their professional try-out contract.
Moran, 22, has appeared in 64 games this season with the Crunch recording a team high 25 goals, 24 assists and 51 penalty minutes. Moran appeared in two games earlier this season with Columbus. A native of Abbotsford, British Columbus, Moran was signed as a free agent by Columbus on June 5, 2000.
Morgan, 23, appeared in a total of six games with Syracuse this season recording three assists. In 60 games with Dayton, he recorded 16 goals, 23 assists and 139 penalty minutes. A native of Blue Sky, Alberta, Morgan signed an AHL contract with Syracuse on July 30, 2001.
Dzieduszycki, 22, appeared in four games for the Crunch this year after finishing his season at the University of Western Ontario. In 28 games with the University of Western Ontario, Dzieduszycki recorded 23 goals, 30 assists and 90 penalty minutes. A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Dzieduszycki finished second in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport with 44 points (19g, 25a) during the 2001-02 season.
Vince, 24, played in 56 games with Dayton this season, recording 16 goals, 24 assists and 70 penalty minutes. A native of Amherstview, Ontario, Vince made his AHL debut on April 7, 2002 against Albany.
Keup, 25, played in 54 games this year with Dayton, recording 16 goals, 19 assists and 73 penalty minutes. A native of Minot, North Dakota, Keup appeared in one game with the Crunch.
The Crunch will open the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs this weekend against either Philadelphia, Rochester or Cincinnati (dates to be determined).
