WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Mike Wilson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.
Wilson, 27, joined the Penguins in time for their game at Philadelphia and was scoreless and even in the 3-1 loss to the Flyers.
The 6'6", 229-pound native of Brampton, Ontario played in 46 games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 12 points (3+9) and 59 penalty minutes.
In 17 games with the Penguins, Wilson has collected two points (1+1) and 17 penalty minutes.
He has played in 331 career NHL games with Buffalo, Florida and the Penguins, recording 57 points (16+41) and 264 penalty minutes.
