Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Announce Roster Moves

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks were assigned right wing Jonathan Hedstrom by the NHL Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on Friday.

Hedstrom was scoreless in two games with Anaheim this season. He made his NHL debut December 3 at Detroit after being called up that day from Cincinnati. The 6-foot, 200-pounder has six goals and three assists with 14 penalty minutes in 10 games with Cincinnati this season.

In another roster move, Cincinnati recalled defenseman Jonathan Zion from ECHL Richmond and assigned center Bobby Brown to ECHL Louisiana.

Zion, a fourth-round pick by Toronto in 1999, had six goals and 17 assists with 24 penalty minutes in 23 games with Richmond this season. A first-year pro, the 6-foot, 200-pounder had 16 goals and 31 assists with 60 penalty minutes in 52 games with Ottawa of the OHL last season.

Brown had two assists with four penalty minutes in six games with Cincinnati this season. Prior to being called up November 19, Brown had six goals and 14 assists with 11 penalty minutes in 16 games with Louisiana.

The Mighty Ducks, second in the AHL Central Division with an 8-8-4-3 record, travel to Hershey for a pair of games this weekend against the Bears to complete a three-game, five-day road trip.
