Falcons win 6th straight at home

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Falcons won their 6th straight home game on Friday night with a 6-3 win over the Syracuse Crunch. It is the Falcons longest winning streak at home since the 1994-95 season when they set the franchise record with 8 consecutive wins at home.

The Falcons used three second period goals, including two by forward Jeff Taffe, to earn a 6-3 win against the Crunch. Taffe ended up with the hat trick and earned the game's first star. Linemates, Jason Bonsignore and Dmitry Afanasenkov each collected two assists earning the game's second and third stars respectively. Corey Foster also chipped in with two assists for Springfield and the Falcons also received goals from Michael Schutte, Ramzi Abid, and Martin Cibak. For Abid, it was his team leading 14th goal of the season. Evgeny Konstantinov made 23 saves earning his third straight win.

The Falcons have now won three straight games and have improved their record to

12-14-0. They will host the Manitoba Moose on Saturday night at "The Nest" and then will be off until next Friday, December 13th when they host the St. John's Maple Leafs.
