Wausau, WIS - The Wisconsin Woodchucks (8-7) scored six runs in the first four innings and beat the Kenosha Kingfish (6-11), 11-8, at Athletic Park in Wausau.

Mac Caples (Virginia Tech) continued his hot homestand with a solo homer, a double and four runs scored.

The 'Chucks hit three home runs for the game. Austin Blakeley (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) and Ruben Cardenas (Cal State-Fullerton) both hit their second homers - Cardenas' was his second in two games as a Woodchuck.

Robert Zeigler (Kent State) threw five shutout innings in his third start and struck out nine to get the win.

A win means the 'Chucks will at least remain only two games back of first place in the Northwoods League's South Division.

The Woodchucks return to action at Athletic Park tomorrow (Friday, June 17) to take on Kenosha in the second of the two-game series, and the six of this six-game homestand. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm. Order your tickets today by calling 715.845.5055 or going online to woodchucks.com.
