Laval Rocket News Release

LAVAL - On Thursday, the American Hockey League announced the 2017-18 AHL All-Star Teams, as voted by AHL coaches, players and members of the media in each of the league's 30 markets and Laval Rocket forward Chris Terry was named to the 2017-18 AHL First All-Star Team.

In his ninth season at the professional level, Terry enjoyed another remarkable season and is on his way to new career milestones. With an impressive total of 67 points (29 goals, 38 assists), Terry ranks first in the AHL scoring race, tied with Lehigh Valley's Phantoms' Phil Varone despite playing only 58 regular season games, 13 games less than Varone. Terry established himself as a threat in the offensive zone during this standout season, being a key contributor to the Rocket's offense and power play registering 16 multi-point games in 2017-18.

Four games shy of his 500th AHL career game, Terry recorded 436 points (180 tallies, 256 helpers). This is a second AHL All-Star nomination for Terry. The 28-year-old Brampton native was named to the Second All-star team last season with the St. John's IceCaps, posting 68 points (30 goals, 38 assists) in 58 games. He has also been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Month for March a few days ago.
