'Canes Recall Roy from Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - The Carolina Hurricanes today announced that the team has recalled center Nicolas Roy from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Roy, 21, has registered 37 points (10g, 27a) in 68 games with the Checkers this season. The 6'4", 208-pound center has recorded eight multi-point games this season, including a career-high four points (1g, 3a) against Lehigh Valley on Wednesday. Roy ranks tied for fourth among Charlotte skaters in assists this season and tied for eighth among AHL rookies in assists. The Amos, Quebec, native was drafted by the Hurricanes in the fourth round, 96th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft.
The Hurricanes conclude their 2017-18 season on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning at PNC Arena (7 p.m., FOX Sports Carolinas, FOX Sports GO, Hurricanes Radio Network).
