
Iowa Wild Signs Forward Mason Shaw to ATO

DES MOINES, IOWA - Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced today the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed forward Mason Shaw to an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO).
Shaw, 19 (11/3/1998), missed all of the 2017-18 WHL season after suffering a torn ACL injury with Minnesota during the Traverse City Prospect Tournament. Shaw has three seasons under his belt with Medicine Hat, amassing 163 points (47g, 116a) in 161 games, including his breakout 2015-16 campaign, where he recorded 94 points (27g, 67a) in 71 games. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound native of Wainwright, Alberta, Canada was selected by Minnesota in the fourth round (97th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
Iowa faces off against Chicago Wolves Friday at Wells Fargo Arena, with a 7:00 p.m. scheduled puck drop.
