
CHL Import Draft Order Announced Thursday

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Canadian Hockey League announced Thursday the order of selection for all clubs at the 2021 CHL Import Draft taking place on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. PT. The Portland Winterhawks hold overall selections #26 and #101.
The Portland Winterhawks currently have three European players protected in forward Simon Knak, defenseman Jonas Brøndberg and recently acquired goaltender Jesper Wallstedt.
Knak, listed 86th overall among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting, enjoyed a breakout season during his second year in the Rose City, totaling a team-high 16 goals and 13 assists for 29 points in 24 games. The Zurich, Switzerland native was named Winterhawks co-MVP following the abbreviated 2020-21 WHL Regular Season.
The Winterhawks anticipate making at least one selection in the upcoming CHL Import Draft.
