
Chinooks Drop Final Road Game of Season

Green Bay, Wis - The Chinooks traveled to Green Bay for their final road game of the season on Friday night. Lakeshore (16-18) lost to Green Bay (20-14) 6-3 at Capital Credit Union Park. The Chinooks managed three runs on six total hits, stranding six runners on base throughout the game. Lakeshore was able to hop out to an early lead, but the Rockers bounced back with big innings late in the game to secure their 20th win of the second half.
Colin Dailey was the starter for Lakeshore tonight and held his own in three innings of work. Dailey had only given up one run through his first three innings, but ran into trouble in the fourth before his evening was over. Dailey finished with 3.0 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 5 BB, and 3 SO. Anthony Gniady (L, 0-2) came in for middle relief and pitched three innings as well. Gniady pitched three innings and gave up two earned runs in his apperance. Luke Schafer and Luke Llewellyn rounded out the rest of the Chinooks bullpen tonight. Schafer pitched the seventh inning and finished with 1.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, and 3 SO. Llewellyn went to work in the eighth and pitched a scoreless inning while striking out one batter.
Offensively, the Chinooks broke free with a big third inning where they scored their only runs of the game. Tony Livermore started the inning off with a single to center field before quickly advancing to second base after Matthias Haas hit a single of his own. Matt Deprey then drew a walk to load the bases with no outs. Bryant Diel grounded into a double play, but managed to score Livermore in the process while tying the game. After Zach Storbakken drew a walk, Stephen Hrustich followed up with a single to left field that scored Haas and Storbakken. Lakeshore finished the third inning leading Green Bay 3-1.
Green Bay used the rest of the game to tack on additional runs and retake the lead. In the fourth inning, the Rockers scored two runs to tie the game up. They would score two more runs in the sixth and an additional run in the seventh to finish their night on offense. Clayton Slack and Matt Scannell each had two RBI's for the Rockers tonight.

Lakeshore will have two opportunities for revenge tomorrow as they face the Rockers at home in a double-header. The first game of the day is set to begin at 3:30pm with the second game starting at 6:30pm. These are the last two games of the season for the Chinooks at Moonlight Graham Field at Kapco Park.
