The El Paso Chihuahuas brought the winning run to the plate in the bottom of the ninth inning Thursday but lost to the Round Rock Express 11-10. El Paso entered the bottom of the ninth down 11-8 before Taylor Kohlwey's two-run home run brought them within one.

El Paso leadoff hitter Tim Lopes went 3-for-5 with a double and two stolen bases. Lopes' first stolen base of the game made him the first player in Chihuahuas history to steal 40 bases in a season, and his second stolen base tied him with Jordyn Adams of Salt Lake for the Pacific Coast League lead with 41.

Catcher Chandler Seagle went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run, his second home run of the series. The Chihuahuas had beaten Round Rock in eight consecutive meetings before Thursday. The Chihuahuas have won two of the first three games in the series.
