Chiefs Take Forward from the Czech Republic

The Spokane Chiefs have selected Dominik Uher from the Czech Republic with the 47th overall selection in the 2009 CHL Import Draft. Uher is a 6'0", 178 pound forward who will be turning 17-years-old on December 31st.

"We are very excited about having Dominik join our team," Chiefs General Manager Tim Speltz said. "He will be the youngest player selected in this year's Import Draft and we expect he will develop into a top rate player."

In 38 games this past year with HC Trinec in the Czech Republic, Uher scored 19 goals and 46 points and added another five goals and 11 points in nine playoff games. Uher has played 88 games for HC Trinec over the past three years, plus 17 more post-season games. He will be eligible for the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
