Spokane, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs announced on Wednesday that they have signed 2004-born prospects F Michael Cicek and D Brayden Crampton to WHL Standard Player Agreements.

"We're excited to officially welcome Cicek and Crampton to the Chiefs," said Spokane Chiefs general manager Scott Carter. "They both impressed us on the ice during training camp this year and we can't wait to see what they bring to our team."

Cicek is a 6-foot-2, 171-pound forward from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Drafted by the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2019 WHL Draft (125th overall), he showed off his scoring skill with the Winnipeg Monarchs as well as the Winnipeg Wild U18 AAA team over the last three seasons.

He spent 2019-20 with the Winnipeg Wild U18 AAA, where he posted 37 points (20G-17A) in 48 games played. The Wild finished at the top of the league and won its semifinal game in the playoffs before they were canceled on March 13, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He piled up 44 points (25G-19A) in 31 games with the Winnipeg Monarchs U15 AAA in 2018-19, highlighted by an 11-game playoff run during which he tallied 14 points (7G-7A). His team won the championship and Cicek also earned Winnipeg AAA U15 Forward of the Year that season.

Cicek's older brother Nick was a defenseman for the Portland Winterhawks from 2018-21, anchoring the club's defense as team captain during the abbreviated 2020-21 season.

Crampton is a 6-foot, 160-pound rearguard from Chilliwack, British Columbia. Passed over in the WHL Draft, he was listed by the Chiefs in August of 2020.

He continued to develop, chipping in 23 points (8G-15A) in 29 games with the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds U16 AAA team in 2019-20. He added 3 points (1G-2A) in 5 games with the Thunderbirds' U18 AAA team. The U16 squad finished third (22-8) while U18 finished fourth (28-9).
