
Chiefs Release Tentative Schedule

Spokane Chiefs News Release
The Spokane Chiefs have released their tentative 2010-11 schedule that features 25 home weekend dates, including 16 that will be played on Saturday nights. The season will begin when the Chiefs visit the Tri-City Americans on Saturday, September 25th.
Spokane will open the home portion of the regular season on Saturday, October 2nd when the Americans visit the Arena. It will mark the 19th time in the last 21 years that the Chiefs have played the Americans in their home opener. Spokane and Tri-City will play each other 12 times, six times in each other's building.
The schedule is tentative and subject to change. A finalized Western Hockey League regular season schedule will be released on Tuesday, August 10.
Tickets for individual games will go on sale to the public on Thursday, September 9th at 9:00 am. Ticket packages for the 2010-11 season are on sale now at the Chiefs office by contacting an Account Executive at (509) 535-PUCK.
Included in the 25 weekend dates will be nine Friday nights. The Chiefs will play 10 Wednesday nights and one Tuesday night. All home games will begin at 7:00.
The regular season will end on Sunday, March 20th when the Chiefs visit Portland.
The Chiefs play in the WHL's U.S. Division of the Western Conference and will play the Everett Silvertips (four home, four away) eight times, the Portland Winterhawks (five home, four away) and Seattle Thunderbirds (four home, five away) nine times a piece.
In the BC Division, the Chiefs will play Chilliwack, Kamloops, Kelowna and Prince George four times (two home, two away) and the Vancouver Giants twice (one home, one away).
Spokane also maintains its rivalry with the Kootenay Ice facing off against the Central Division franchise five times, including three home games. The Chiefs will host the other five Central Division clubs (Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Red Deer) throughout the year.
Spokane will travel to play the Eastern Conference clubs (Brandon, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon and Swift Current) in an eight night, six game trip that will begin on Friday, October 29th.
The Chiefs will release their promotional schedule in early September.
