
Cougars Release Tentative 2010-11 Regular Season Schedule

Prince George, BC - The Prince George Cougars are pleased to announce the club's tentative 2010-11 regular season schedule, which is subject to change. A finalized Western Hockey League regular season schedule will be released on Tuesday, August 10.
The Cougars will open their 17th season on the road against the Kamloops Blazers on Friday, September 24. The Cougars home opener is on Friday, October 1 against the Vancouver Giants at CN Centre. The Cougars will end the season on Saturday, March 19 at home against the Blazers.
Of the 36 home games the Cougars will play at CN Centre this season, the club will have 13 Friday night games and 12 Saturday night dates. There will be five games on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights and one Sunday afternoon game vs. Moose Jaw on January 2, 2011, starting at 2:00pm.
The Cougars longest home-stand of the season will be eight games, starting December 14 against Swift Current and ending with a January 8 battle with the Vancouver Giants. The Cougars will welcome the six East Division clubs - Prince Albert, Brandon, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current and Moose Jaw - to CN Centre this season. The Cougars longest road trip of the year takes the club through Alberta for five games in six nights, beginning February 8 in Edmonton and wrapping up February 13 in Red Deer.
The Cougars annual Teddy Bear and Toque Toss Game at CN Centre will take place on Saturday, December 18 against the Kamloops Blazers, the final game before the 2010 Christmas break.
The Cougars will play 19 home games in the first 36 games of the year, ending December 28 at home against Chilliwack. There will be 17 home games and 19 road games in the second half of the season.
All Cougars home games will start at 7:00pm, with the exception of their Sunday, January 2 game against Moose Jaw.
