
T-Birds Release Tentative 2010-11 Schedule

Kent,July 28, 2010 - The Seattle Thunderbirds are excited to announce their regular season schedule for the 2010-11 season. The T-Birds will open the 2010-11 Western Hockey League regular season against the Everett Silvertips on Friday, September 24, at Comcast Arena in Everett at 7:35 p.m.
The T-Birds home opener is Saturday, September 25, against the Portland Winterhawks at ShoWare Center at 7:05 p.m.
The T-Birds are running their Opening Night pre-sale special for a second straight year. If you buy a group of 20 or more people you will receive a second group game for FREE. For more information on the offer call the T-Birds at 253-239-7825.
The T-Birds will finish out the opening weekend at Kennewick against the Tri-City Americans on Sunday, September 26, at 5 p.m. at the Toyota Center.
The T-Birds will play the Winterhawks at home six times, with all the games being played on a Saturday. There are 14 games at home on a Saturday, seven games at home on a Friday and six games at home on a Sunday in 2010-11.
Seattle's other I-5 rival, the Silvertips, will come to ShoWare Center five times in 2010-11. There will be one Friday game, two Saturday games and two Sunday games.
The T-Birds will play seven games on a Tuesday in 2010-11. All seven of these games will be a 2-for-Tuesday game. Last season's popular 2-for-Tuesday promotion gave fans the chance to get 2-for-1 ticket specials as well $2 concession specials.
The team travels to the Eastern Division for a six-game road trip from November 6 through November 13. They will play the Brandon Wheat Kings, Moose Jaw Warriors, Saskatoon Blades, Prince Albert Raiders, Regina Pats and Swift Current Broncos on the road trip.
The T-Birds have two home-and-home series with the Spokane Chiefs in December. The two teams will face each other on December 14 and 15 and December 28 and 29.
The T-Birds will travel to Portland to take on the Winterhawks in the annual New Year's Eve game on December 31. The team is then back home at ShoWare Center for a New Year's Day game against the Kamloops Blazers.
T-Birds season tickets are also currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-PUCK.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2010-11 season will tentatively go on sale on Wednesday, August 25, at 10 a.m. online at www.seattlethunderbirds.com and at the ShoWare Center box office.
The T-Birds tentative schedule will become final on August 10.
