July 28, 2010 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Chilliwack Bruins News Release

The Chilliwack Bruins are pleased to announce their 2010-11 regular season schedule. The schedule is tentative and is subject to change. The Western Hockey League will unveil the official schedule on August 10th.

For a complete home and away schedule for the upcoming season, see the list below.

"We're very pleased with the schedule," said Bruins Marketing Director Barry Douglas. "Of our 36 home dates, 26 will be played on weekends including 13 Saturday games. All six Sunday games, with 5pm starts, will once again be Family Fun Nights".

The Bruins will open the home portion of their schedule on Saturday October 2nd. The night will be a tribute to First Nations and will see the debut of the Bruins new third jersey. 98.5 The Hawk will be hosting a tail gate party leading up to the start of the game.

Returning again is the third annual Remembrance Day home game vs the Vancouver Giants. A special one time jersey will be worn for that game. Two other holiday home games return this season. Chilliwack will host the Prince Albert Raiders on Thanksgiving Monday afternoon and the Moose Jaw Warriors visit Prospera Centre on New Year's Eve.

A change of note this season will be the start time for Friday home games which this season will begin at 7:30pm, a half hour later than in previous seasons. "After getting feedback from our fan base, we feel that starting the Friday games a little later will give more people a chance to get to the game on time," added Douglas.

2010-11 Ticket Packages are now on sale. Full season ticket packages (36 games) start at just $199 for youths and seniors and $299 for adults. Half season ticket packages are also available., buy now and get a free ticket for the Bruins home opener. Call The Cave for more details at 604.792.GOAL.
